This is a one-day face-to-face course focused in acute and critical care point-of-care ultrasound in children. Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) is the bedside use of ultrasound to answer a specific diagnostic questions, assist with a procedure or track clinical progression. The course is addressed at health professionals working in acute paediatrics, paediatric critical care and high dependency.
This is a 2-day face-to-face ventilation course centred on the care of children and adolescents. The course also has a self-paced online component (ESPNIC online ventilation course). It is tailored for health professionals (doctors, nurses and allied health professionals) working on paediatric critical care and high dependency units.
Fundamentals in Mechanical ventilation is an interactive and practical course that will provide delegates with the basic skills to help look after ventilated patients in PICU. This course consists of a mix of interactive sessions and hands-on practice on the ventilator. It is aimed at doctors and nurses willing to start acquiring the expertise required to look after patients on the ventilator. From the patient with no respiratory diagnosis to the main causes of respiratory failure.
A two-day course with a daily a lecture-based module of 5 hours each day where basic concepts of bronchoscopy, normal airway anatomy and most important critical care airway pathologies will be addressed, along with practical modules where participants will be able to practice with a flexible bronchoscope and perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as well as difficult airway management through specific bronchoscopy mannequins and simulator.
This study day on Symptom Management for Patients with Life-Limiting and Life-Threatening Conditions is designed to provide in-depth discussions on managing the most common symptoms experienced by various patient groups.
