Francesc Torres is a paediatrician trained in Spain. He further specialised in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine (PICM) in the UK, where he worked in two of the busiest centres for sick children in London (Royal Brompton PICU and GOSH PICU/CICU/CATS).
Since finishing his subspecialty training in PICM in 2021, he worked as a PICU Consultant in Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and the Royal Brompton Hospital, alongside working as a Paediatric Retrieval Consultant for the Paediatric & Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval team (PaNDR) in the East of England. Since 2023 he works as a PICU Consultant at the Royal Hospital for Children and ScotSTAR.
He is a fellow of the RCPCH and FICM, member of PICS UK and on the GMC Specialty Registry as a Paediatrician.
He has got a special interests¡ in Cardiac Intensive Care, ECMO and Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS).
He is a CACTUS mentor and has directed some CACTUS courses, one of them being the first course PaNGEa offered in October 2023!
